But the laminated membrane is only one part of the three-layer construction of these socks. Their surface is reinforced with a covering nylon knit, and a Merino wool base layer oversees your feet’s thermal comfort. This also means zero odor.
You can add thin liners under the stormsock socks for extra thermal comfort. Otherwise, they don’t need any special care. They are washed at 40°C – inside out.

Kupováno na trailový běh. NEmohu si pomoci, nefungují. Po vniknutí vody studí a pocitově působí úplně stejně, jako s klasickýma merino ponožkama. Na rozdíl od nich ale tyhle mají vevnitř pod membránou žalostně tenkoua vrstvu, která má hřát, ale nehřeje. Po sundání ponožek vrstva uvnitř ptostě mokrá a řekl bych, že to není jen zkondenzovaný pot. Ještě se strašně špatně siší, jak je tam membrána, musí to člověk furt převracet. Daleko lepší je mít od této značky trailové merino ponožky light nebo i ultralight. Pocitově bezprostředně po nabrání vody jsou ty obyčejné stejné, s odstupem však ještě dokonce lepší, hřejí víc, než ty s membránou. Prostě fyziku neošálíš. Jsem zklamán a už bych nekoupil.
