Convenient access to the entire main compartment is via a perimeter zipper or a drawstring top lid. Entry is therefore very practical, and the bright interior helps orientation in twilight. The ORTOVOX PEAK 35 backpack also has a cleverly designed gear clamping system and if you add 35 litres of volume, you have a really spacious, functional and comfortable backpack for long expeditions.
Cleverly designed pocket system
The backpack has several pockets to perfectly position your gear, which you can then access quickly and easily.
Separate pocket for avalanche equipment – shovel and probe.
The main pocket has an elastic strap for attaching a water bottle or reservoir and a buckle for attaching it – plus the option of a hose in the centre of the pack between the shoulder straps
Front small zippered pocket – for guidebook, map and a bushel.
Hidden pocket in the main compartment – for documents, cash and valuables.
Outer lid pocket for stowing active accessories – hat, snack, gloves, scarf.
In the outer lid pocket there is also a plastic carabiner for keys
Inner lid pocket for storing small equipment – headlamp, knife.

Robust and waterproof processing
The backpack is extremely durable thanks to its tightly woven Nylon 420HD Ripstop and abrasion resistant Nylon 420D Manstar. It is also highly water resistant and dries very quickly. ORTOVOX is confident in its quality, which is why you get an extended five-year warranty. There is a whistle on the height-adjustable chest strap for signaling. The lid of the backpack has a sewn-in pocket with an EMERGENCY CARD – a card with personal and medical information. The waist belt has a loop for additional material.
Wool back system helps with sweat wicking
A special feature of the ORTOVOX PEAK 35 that deserves your attention is the SWISSWOOL FULL CONTACT back system. Its uniqueness lies in the wool molded into the back system panel. Thanks to the wool, the back system absorbs moisture 29 times more than conventional foam systems, leaving significantly less sweat on the skin and in other layers of clothing.
The back system has a center panel that provides a chimney effect and improves air circulation when moving. The developers of the SWISSWOOL FULL CONTACT system have collaborated with experts in the field of physiotherapy at ORTOVOX.
25 kg comfortably on the back
The weight distribution on the shoulders and hips is taken care of by the reinforcements in the back system. The shoulder straps are ergonomically adapted to the body. You can tighten the straps not only from the bottom but also from the top and adjust the backpack to your body. The waist belt transitions smoothly right from the back system and literally hugs you. You don’t feel the connection between the waist belt and the pack, the pack is comfortable to carry and there’s no pressure no matter how much you’re carrying.

Back size “regular”
The backpack has been tailored for people with a medium back length of 42-50 cm – for a figure of approximately 170 to 195 cm. The length is calculated from the 7th cervical vertebra to the top of the pelvis. The backpack is not only modified in the length of the back, but also in the shape of the shoulder straps and the adjustment of the waist belt. This gives the backpack an ideal fit and a firmer hold on the back.
